- Invite Emily online to discuss how design changes if design is purpose- and not profit-driven?
- Assignment:
- Form groups of five. Design your own brief for a visual identity of a purpose-driven entity (corporation, organisation, institution, event or product). Light benchmarking (target audience + competitors).
Tuesday – Brief
- Presentations:
- Groups explain their briefings. CS gives feedback.
- Lecture:
- Explain the piece of code students get. Downloadable from our CS Salzburg page.
- Assignment:
- Define your comms strategy and visual concept. Find three keywords that describe the concept.
Wednesday – Concept
- Presentations:
- Groups explain their concepts. CS gives feedback.
- Assignment:
- Start experimenting with the code.
Thursday – Visual System 1
- Presentations:
- Groups explain their sketches. CS gives feedback.
- Assignment:
- Make a selection of your sketches. Deduct rules from your selection. “We use this type of source images, colors, transformation…”
Friday – Visual System 2
- Presentations:
- Groups explain their visual system. CS gives feedback.
- Assignment:
- Start using your selection on deliverables of different dimensions. How do you work with typography? Add these rules to your visual system.
Monday – Deliverables
- Presentations:
- Groups explain their deliverables. CS gives feedback.
- Assignment:
- Keep on working on the application of your visual system.
